
Successful Groundbreaking Ceremony for C?te d'Ivoire Vocational Training School Project
On January 24th, 2022, the groundbreaking ceremony for the C?te d'Ivoire Vocational Training School project involving seven vocational training schools undertaken by the AVIC International Complete Equipment Co., Ltd., was held successfully in the economic capital of Abidjan.
The Prime Minister Patrick Asch, the Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of National Education, Minister of Commerce, Minister of Health, Minister of Vocational Education, and other government officials of C?te d'Ivoire as well as Lu Jun, the Economic and Commercial counselor of Chinese Embassy in C?te d'Ivoire attended the ceremony and gave a speed.
Patrick Asch said that the establishment of the seven vocational training schools was based on the experience of the AVIC International Complete Equipment Co., Ltd. in the development of vocational education in Africa. Completion of the schools will help improve the present situation of the country, such as low employment rate and vocational education out of touch with social needs, and will also help enhance the overall vocational education level of C?te d'Ivoire. It will play an important role in increasing the local employment and cultivating more technical talents urgently needed for social development.
Patrick Asch and other senior government officials heard the detailed introduction on the project that was made by the Department of Vocational Education of C?te d'Ivoire and the AVIC International Complete Equipment Co., Ltd. Then the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the school site.
Multiple mainstream media including the Xinhua News Agency and C?te d'Ivoire state television RTI and the largest newspaper Fraternité Matin gave special reports to this event.
On December 29th, 2017, a contract on the C?te d'Ivoire Vocational Training School project was co-signed by the AVIC International Complete Equipment Co., Ltd. and the Secretary of State for Technical and Vocational Education and Training of C?te d'Ivoire.
This project is funded by the Export-Import Bank of China. China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation provides the Buyer export credit insurance. As the general contractor, the AVIC International Complete Equipment Co., Ltd. will provide a series of services such as campus planning, curriculum system setting, experimental and practical training room planning, software and hardware supply, teacher training, after-sales services, assistance in four-year operation and maintenance period, etc.
This project aims to cultivate vocational talents in mechanical processing, electrical and electronics, automobile maintenance, and other 14 major disciplines or professionals to meet the social needs of C?te d'Ivoire. It will offer a plenty of job opportunities for young people in various fields in C?te d'Ivoire. Upon completion, the project can meet the vocational training needs of about 6,000 full-time students annually.
