
Opening of New International Airport in Ndola, Zambia
The opening ceremony of Ndola New International Airport, Zambia was held successfully. This project was financed by the Export-Import Bank of China, and AVIC INTL was the general contractor responsible for the works such as project design, construction, product supply, installation and commissioning, and training.
The airport is locating at the Ndola city, Copperbelt Province, Zambia. It is a 4E-class modern international airport with an annual passenger flow of 1 million people, including a 3.5 km long runway, a 12,000-square-meter double-decker terminal, and other necessary facilities such as business center, hotel, hangar, and fuel depot.
Zambia thanks our company for creating a lot of local employment opportunities, and believe that the opening of the new airport will greatly improve the economic development of Copperbelt Province and even Zambia. In addition, the official operation of the new airport means that Zambia has taken another big step towards the goal of an African aviation hub.
