FEISI Communication Supports Shenzhou 15 and Taikonaut Crew Return to Earth Safely

At about 6:30 on June 4, Shenzhou 15 crewed spacecraft's re-entry capsule landed in the Dongfeng site successfully. As the participant in landing field communication support, Feisi Communication completed the emergency communication support task at the Shenzhou 15 landing point in Dongfeng landing site.

Dongfeng landing site is a depopulated zone of about 13 thousand km2, so communication coverage is the key to improving coordinated SAR. Satellite communication features wider coverage and long communication distance and these make it have an incomparable advantage in aspects of broad area, thin router, seamless mobile communication with respect to other communication modes. Therefore, it is the most reliable communication means at present for landing site.

Feisi Communication takes two sets of independently researched and developed phased array broadband satellite COTM system and they participated in the return mission communication support in the whole course. Both of the two systems are connected to Ku-band high-throughput satellite for communication. Compared with conventional satellite communication systems, these systems have been improved by several times in aspects of transmission capability and communication bandwidth.

One of the two sets is used to support China Mobile. Assisted by its ground movable base station system, an air-terrain fusion communication network is formed to ensure uninterrupted transmission of voice, data, images, and other synthetic information in 4G during movement or standing still. This system is capable of covering several kilometers for communication. A maximum number of access users reaches 400 and concurrent volume for communication reaches dozens.

The other set is mainly used to support a division in Jiuquan site for voice cluster scheduling, multimedia video and data transmission, and other functions. It is capable of accurately broadcasting the dynamic situation and landing area of the re-entry capsule in real time, playing an important role in finding the re-entry capsule.
